Academic Projects

  • Financial Modelling Projects:
    • Monte Carlo Simulation: Applied to modelling FTSE 100 through a random-walk. Also incorporated the modelling of volatility through Generalised Auto-Regressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (GARCH)
    • Multiple Regression technique for Macro-Economic modelling of Brazilian Economy. Applied to regress five macro constituents of the GDP, to determine the GDP growth over a 6-month period.
    • Applications of Poisson process in sports-betting, specifically exploiting the Poisson nature of football goals in a match to determine match probabilites, and then using value betting to profit long-term through mean reversion
  • Technical Projects:
    • Quark-Gluon Plasma: Using equations of state to study and simulate the properties of Quark Gluon Plasma, finally obtaining curves for Pressure as a function of energy states
    • Design and load-testing of Bridges
    • Clean-fuel Vehicles: Using compressed air as a source of energy for prime movers such as turbines. Then converting this rotational motion to translational through appropriate use of joints

Awards and Qualifications

  • Masters Innovation Bursary at King’s College London, awarded for involvement in novel Academic Projects, and excellent academic results
  • Excellence in Thesis awarded by BITS, Pilani for my work on Renewable Energy Technology in the Middle-East
  • England Football Association qualified football coach. Worked with Fulham Football Club
